Jarrad Branthwaite, a target for Manchester United, is allegedly ready to accept a lucrative new contract offer from EVERTON.

Erik ten Hag has the 22-year-old Toffees defender as one of his main objectives this summer.

There is a demand for Jarrad Branthwaite.

Nevertheless, Branthwaite will not be able to take advantage of a lucrative transfer as Everton officials stood by their £70 million estimate.

According to The Mirror, he would have made £160,000 a week at Old Trafford, and the Toffees will give him a huge new contract as payment.

At Goodison Park, Branthwaite is currently paid almost £40,000 a week.

New agreement would help repel further approaches from United and Manchester City, who are reportedly considering a transfer as well, as exclusively disclosed by SunSport.

“I think for me it’s just about taking what I learned from last season, and the season before, and putting it all together,” Branthwaite, who is content to stay put, said this week to Everton’s website.

“I believe that participating in every game I did during the previous season helped me perform well and get the necessary experience.

“I’m going to continue learning this season and use that. Having a strong defensive record helps you feel more confident as the new season approaches.

“The entire team and the way the manager has us set up to give us the best chance to win games and pick up as many points as we can contribute to that; it’s not just the defenders that do that.

“I anticipate that this season will be the same. With any luck, we can start the new season with a couple victories to build momentum.”

Leny Yoro, a young center defender from Lille, has joined United in a £52 million deal.

After leading them to a 2-0 victory over Rangers, supporters are already certain he can take them to new heights.

The defender stopped Cyriel Dessers from almost surely giving the Gers the lead with a last-ditch tackle, showcasing his strength and speed.

Supporters of the Red Devils responded to the event on social media with great admiration.

A user wrote: “Leny Yoro is awesome! I’m excited to watch him rule the field.”

“I’m crying, this is so beautiful,” wrote a second.

Another said, “Yoro is my starboy.”

One more stated, “Yoro is the next Rio Ferdinand.”

“We’re winning the Premier League this season,” exclaimed the fifth.

Ten Hag has declared that he is in the process of bringing his former Ajax teammate, Matthijs de Ligt, a defender valued at £40 million, back together.

“We still have to wait and see whether De Ligt will come,” he said to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dadblad.

“The good news is that I was able to take a three- or four-week break from the process during my vacation.

“The club, with its recently formed scouting and recruitment department, was the one that actually brought these players in during that time.

It is merely a coincidence that there are Dutch players among them as well. These were mostly players that our organization brought in.

“But of course I support them, let that be clear – and we still make the choice together.”
