Despite growing pressure, Erik Ten Hag thinks he will still be leading Manchester United in the upcoming campaign.
The club’s new CEO, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, intends to make significant changes, which could result in the fired manager losing his job.

Ten Hag might be done for good if his Premier League campaign ends poorly and he loses to Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
His return to his old team Ajax has been mentioned; John van der Schip is leaving this summer, and the team is looking for a new manager.
Furthermore, Ten Hag declined to rule out going back to his old club in an interview with ViaPlay.
“Contacts with Ajax?” he asked. No. Why not in the future? It’s an interesting club. There, I had a terrific time.”
However, the Dutchman does not anticipate returning to his native country before the upcoming season.
“I assume that I will be Manchester United manager next year,” Ten Hag continued.
“I am not someone who walks away; I consciously signed a long-term deal.”
Ten Hag’s Old Trafford contract is set to expire after a year, although Ratcliffe has the option to terminate it twelve months early.
Former Chelsea manager Graham Potter and England manager Gareth Southgate are contenders for the position.
Given that Thomas Tuchel is expected to leave Bayern Munich, reports also indicate that he is a candidate.
Regarding Ajax, it is said that they have spoken with Potter and have reached out to Francesco Farioli, the manager of Nice.
However, Ten Hag is their top candidate because he won three Eredivisie titles in five years with the team.
