Tony Cascarino, a former Chelsea player, believes Enzo Fernandez should be sold by his former team.

After recording himself and his international colleagues singing a deplorable, racist song about the French national team, the Argentine star found himself in hot water.

Following his racist outburst, Tony Cascarino thinks Chelsea will need to move Enzo Fernandez.

The Argentina star recorded himself cursing the French national team in an offensive song.

Following the video, Fernandez faced significant criticism, with a number of Chelsea players unfollowing him on social media.

Wesley Fofana even took to the internet to criticize the “uninhibited racism.”

And SunSport is aware that the Blues have a significant division in the dressing room going into the upcoming Premier League season.

Fernandez has already expressed regret for his involvement in the derogatory chants.

But it’s still unclear if he’ll be able to patch fences with Chelsea friends, particularly the team’s sizable French star population.

Furthermore, Cascarino, a former star player at Stamford Bridge, believes Fernandez has given the Blues little option but to trade him.

He believes that Fernandez’s remarks will permanently separate him from the other players in the changing room.

And even if Chelsea broke the record by spending £105 million to sign the World Cup winner 18 months ago, they ought to trim their losses for the good of the team.

It’s going to be difficult, Cascarino stated on talkSPORT. Looking back to my Chelsea days in the 1990s, I’m not convinced that the dressing room would have approved of what Enzo Fernandez had done.

That one is difficult to manage. Chelsea needs to make a big decision on whether or not to keep Enzo Fernandez, in my opinion.

Cascarino believes Fernandez has a single opportunity to make amends.

“I’m not sure many players will be that comfortable with some of the things that have gone on, given that players are unhappy with a guy in the dressing room.

“There is no justification for that to end. Is it likely to cause a rift with the other players?

“I’m not sure how you’ll manage it because there will be players who are incapable of forgiving.” Even though they don’t like what happened, some people might be able to move on.

At a club, it’s not necessary for everyone to get along with one another, but this one is quite difficult. There will be players who refuse to let go or work things out.”

However, Cascarino believes Fernandez may have one more chance to win Chelsea over.

“He will have to apologize to the squad in person as well, and maybe then there will be a little more forgiveness,” he continued.
