The Deputy Director General and Technical Operations Officer of the National Communications Authority, Professor Ezer Osei Yeboah Boateng has urged students and other Youths in the country to embrace every opportunity that will be presented by the digitalization agenda.
Speaking at the Technology Fair and Week Celebration Launch at the University of Energy and Natural Resources with a Theme: *Unleashing the Potential of Digitalisation for National Development, the Role of the Youth*, Professor Ezer Osei Yeboah Boateng indicated that the youth must take due advantage of the opportunities presented by the digitalization agenda in the country.
He stressed that skills, time, and aspirations are crucial in shaping a prosperous and digitally empowered Ghana and so all must work together to unleash the potential of digitalization for national development in building an inclusive and sustainable future.
On her part, Mrs. Justina Owusu Banahene, Bono Regional Minister who was a guest speaker for the program justified the need for students to adopt the effective use of digital platforms to enhance their academic activities stressing that the digital platforms have enabled online studies overseas with the use of computers and mobile phones which has reduced burden of traveling overseas for academic excellence.
She said it is important for all to embrace the digitalization project to help build a collective world
Some of the Students of the university also shared their experiences and benefits of the use of technology and digitalization as a means of study.
They revealed that it is easy to use technology in academics because it saves time and energy as compared to the olden days hence the need for all SHS leavers to choose UENR for advanced digitalization education.
