The Member of Parliament(MP) for Cape Coast South Constituency, Mr. George Kwaku Ricketts-Hagan has tasked politicians and Parliamentarians to consider the fact that they are the servants of the people in their various constituencies, underscoring the need for them to provide their constituents with their needs.

“Some of us came into politics as servants and not to enrich ourselves because politics is service to the people so if you are not ready to be a servant in politics you have no business being in politics”. He stated.

“We don’t do politics to enrich ourselves,  so for me,  as long as I continue to be in politics it’s a life of service to the people”. He stressed.

Mr. Kwaku Ricketts-Hagan made these remarks when he commissioned a community Clinic with essential medical equipment to bring quality healthcare to the doorstep of his people Ekon, a Fishing community in the constituency.

“Even though opposition is hard I’m just doing it as your servant in Parliament and together we shall build a better constituency for constituents” the lawmaker disclosed.

The Ekon Clinic was given a facelift with a maternity ward and laboratory to improve residents’ health care needs.

On his part, the Director of Cape Coast Metro Health Directorate, Mr. Samuel Kwabena Ofosu expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the MP and all those who have supported the initiative and appealed for more for the Ekon Health Centre to have complete health services without stress.
