Akwane Dobro, Adipa and Asiyaw electoral area is in the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipality has been hit by heavily rainstorm.
According to the victims, they said the storm heavily lifted their roofing sheets whiles they were inside the room. They said it happened in the afternoon around 1pm when it started raining and due to that, some of them slept outside and with their neighbors.
The Assemblyman of the Adipa/Asiyaw electoral area Hon Joseph Yaw Konnor attest that, he went round seeking for place for the affected peoples to sleep and living has now become difficult. He added that, no one died but one person got severely hit by the cement block and has been admitted at the hospital.
On behalf of his people, he pleaded with the Municipal Chief Executive, the MP and other stakeholders to come to their aid.
Torgbui Hunakpa the Ayigbehene of the Akwane Dobro said he was shocked when it happened because it was the first time such incident has happened in the community and he doesn’t believe it is the punishment from their gods because it happens in other places.
