Renowned Council of State member and former Ningo-Prampram Member of Parliament, E.T. Mensah, has sadly passed away. The veteran politician and sports enthusiast reportedly succumbed to his long-standing battle with ill-health on Sunday night in South Africa.
E.T. Mensah, born on May 17, 1946, served as a influential Minister of Youth and Sports during the Rawlings era. With an illustrious political career spanning two decades, from January 1997 to January 2017, he was a revered Member of Parliament.
During his tenure, Mensah made significant contributions, particularly as Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) during the PNDC era. His dedication and commitment to public service were unmatched, and his impact on the development of Ningo-Prampram will forever be remembered.
As a staunch member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mensah proudly represented the people of Ningo-Prampram in Parliament under the NDC’s banner. His tireless efforts and relentless pursuit of progress earned him the respect and admiration of his constituents.
