The CEO of Comet properties, Mr Alex Kyeremateng is claiming to have the Ghana Police Service in his pockets hence, ha can take over peoples’ properties without any hinderance.

He made this known when he stormed a legally acquired property own by EL Glory company limited with some police personnel in recent times.

Speaking at a news conference held in Accra, the legal officer for the Nii Odai Ntow Family Customary Land Secretariat, Mr Seth Asante Wiafe, hinted that their client EL Glory Company limited purchase 45 acres of land from the Nii Odai Ntow Family Customary Land Secretariat in conjunction with the families.

The Nii Odai Ntow Family was adjudged owners of all 22, 000 acres of lands in Accra.

After a successful meeting with the IGP the parties were asked to submit their documents and route of title.

The matter was referred to the Greater Regional Police Command and both parties were asked to produce their respective site plans for a search to be conducted at both Greater Accra Lands Commission as well as Eastern Regional Lands Commission.

The search revealed however that, the land is situated in Accra and not Eastern region.

In view of that, the police asked the Nii Odai Ntow Family and their guarantor to go ahead with their work.

Attempts by the family to work on the land proved futile because the police failed to offer the needed protection to the family to take possession of their property.

Meanwhile the CEO of EL Glory company limited, Nana Oppong Kyekyeku said, he is worried about the conduct of Mr Kyeremateng illegally harassing his workers on a land he legally acquired from the Nii Odai Ntow Family Customary Land Secretariat.

He added that the said Comet properties CEO failed to produce his document to the police for a search over years now.

He appealed to the IGP and the National Security to intervene into the matter because the police have failed to protect him to commence his work.

According to him, four years ago the than Regional CID requested that both parties should produce their guarantor and site plans but Mr Kyeremateng failed to produce both his guarantor and document so he was directed to go ahead and work but yet still this same man is using the police and land guards to harass him.
