A 45-year-old coconut seller in Akatsi, located in the Volta Region, has tragically lost his life after falling from a coconut tree.
The deceased, Atsu Kpeli, a resident of Akatsi Agbaflome-Kpelikope, met his untimely demise on Monday morning around 07:00 hours while in search of coconuts for his vending business.
According to eyewitnesses who spoke to the Ghana News Agency, the incident occurred near the Akatsi Kepson Guest House.
Atsu Kpeli fell from a coconut tree, and he was discovered lifeless, lying in a pool of blood beneath the tree.
Some individuals suggested that the deceased may have lost his balance while attempting to reposition himself on the tree.
Neyram Satsi, a witness, informed the GNA that the deceased’s relatives, together with the Akatsi police, promptly arrived at the scene.
The body of Atsu Kpeli has been transported to the St. Paul’s Hospital Morgue for preservation and a subsequent autopsy.
