After believing Bryan Mbeumo had scored against Chelsea, FANS are all confused.

The Brentford player nearly scored his team’s second goal of the Premier League match at Stamford Bridge.

Bryan Mbeumo attempts a shot on goal.

It appeared as though the forward’s shot gone in.

The ball appeared to have entered.

When fans realized it gone wide, they were perplexed.

The game’s opening goal was set up by Mbeumo, 24, who crossed the ball for Ethan Pinnock to score.

And he must have believed he had scored a goal for himself in the ninetieth minute.

Neal Maupay forced Ian Maatsen off the ball and then swung in a risky cross for Mbeumo.

The attacker appeared to have rocketed into the bottom corner after making a nice connection with the ball.

Upon closer examination, though, it was discovered that the ball had really gone wide and rebounded into the side netting, creating the optical illusion that it had struck the net’s back.

However, when they turned to social media, supporters were still left perplexed.

A confused fan posted on Twitter, saying, “I thought Mbeumo scored lol.”

One person asked, “How did Mbeumo not score that?!” another.

“Mbeumo, how do you miss that???” wrote a third.

Only a few minutes later, the Cameroonian international did manage to score the winning goal.

After Chelsea won a corner, a swift counterattack left goalkeeper Robert Sanchez isolated.

Before giving the ball to Mbeumo to tap home, Maupay carried it up files with altruism.

The Bees won the match 2-0, and the three points allowed them to pass the Blues and move up to 10th position in the Premier League.
