Desire Doue, a wonderkid from Rennes, is a transfer target for Chelsea, who will now take on Tottenham.
Champions Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are among the European teams showing interest in the 19-year-old midfield player.

Rennes swiftly turned down Bayern Munich’s £30 million offer for the young French player.
Rennes is attempting to sign Doue for £52 million, considering him to be one of Europe’s most exciting possibilities. Doue will play for France at the Olympics in Paris later this month.
Rivals from London, Chelsea and Tottenham, as well as Bayern and PSG, will compete for the title of 2022 European U17 champion, with all teams guaranteed a spot in Europe the following season.
The Frenchman is so desirable to both London rivals that they want a transaction to be finalized as soon as possible.
Doue quickly rose through the Rennes youth systems, and in January 2022 he started training with the senior team.
In 31 games in the French top flight this season, the youthful player totaled four goals and five assists. He eventually established himself in the first squad as a left winger.
And with Enzo Maresca, the new manager of the Blues, looking to restock his team for the coming campaign, this could be the ideal addition. Maresca has been busy making transfers this summer.
Renato Veiga, a defensive midfielder for Chelsea, arrived from FC Basel on Friday. The transfer is said to have cost £12 million.
He now moves to Stamford Bridge to join recruits Marc Guiu, Tosin Adarabioyo, Omari Kellyman, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Though no bids have been made for either Dani Olmo or Nico Williams, two players who are currently dominating at Euro 2024, have been rumored for transfers to Chelsea.
Although the star of Borussia Dortmund is supposedly undecided about a move to Chelsea, Karim Adeyemi is rumored to be another name being considered.
In addition, the Blues have their sights set on Manchester City legend Julian Alvarez, who turned down a four-year deal to remain with the team.
