Chelsea supporters have made jokes about Mikel Arteta’s impending dismissal due to a curse.
The Arsenal manager took over the team in 2019, enduring criticism and pressure from fans before making the Gunners championship challengers.

Since winning the Champions League two years ago, Chelsea have moved in the other direction of their London rivals, and supporters are optimistic that will change under Mauricio Pochettino.
The supporters of Chelsea believe he will benefit from a lifted curse that formerly affected them and is now coming for Arsenal.
The key, according to a fan, was multiple managers’ choice to keep Kai Havertz even though he was out of shape.
After being signed by the then-manager Frank Lampard, the German star struggled to play consistently throughout the course of his three seasons at Stamford Bridge.
Havertz was frequently chosen throughout both of the club legend’s tenures as manager, although he was fired both times.
Graham Potter and Thomas Tuchel both received the same punishment for defying demands to bench him.
This week saw the alleged recurrence of the curse as Germany manager Hansi Flick was fired, becoming the first coach of Die Mannschaft to ever lose his job.
Under Flick, Havertz won 20 caps for his country and played in all but two of the 12 games they drew or lost.
Arteta has defended his £65 million new acquisition, claiming that he needs time to adjust to life at Arsenal and oddly drawing comparisons to how he met his wife.
Havertz has started each of the league’s four games this year, but he has yet to score or provide an assist, losing a significant opportunity to save the day against Manchester United.
If he isn’t benched, “we know whats coming” for Arteta, a hopeful Chelsea supporter declared.
According to another, “They play better whenever he comes off, there’s no role for him there, but Arteta wants to justify using £65m on him.”
To defend their player, though, Arsenal supporters retaliated, writing: “Post anything in search of happiness… life of a Chelsea fan.”
An additional response was, “The difference is we don’t lose games at Arsenal.”
