According to rumors, BAYERN MUNICH is considering making a surprise move for Trevoh Chalobah.

The defender has been one of Chelsea’s bright spots during the last challenging few years.

 

Trevoh Chalobah has made an impact since rejoining Chelsea.

 

Chalobah has performed well since returning from a season-long loan with Lorient, despite the Blues’ defensive problems.

Furthermore, sources state that German powerhouse Bayern Munich have taken notice of his performances during the previous 15 months.

The Daily Mail claims that the Bundesliga’s top teams are interested in signing the 24-year-old on a temporary loan.

Additionally, it’s reported that Chelsea is prepared to give up their academy product in order to assist balance their books and avoid breaking Financial Fair Play rules.

 

In order to avoid an FFP violation, it is believed that the West Londoners are also trying to profit from Chalobah’s other academy graduate, Conor Gallagher.

In September of last year, Chalobah was scheduled to sign a loan with Bayern Munich, but he backed out of the agreement, pledging to compete for a starting spot for the Blues.

“If an offer appears, it is because another part of the club accepted it to move, they were trying to find a solution, or the player wanted to leave,” Mauricio Pochettino, the manager, stated.

“You can’t just point the finger at the club; if an offer comes up for Jesus [Perez, my assistant], it’s because Jesus was willing to accept it, right?

 

Come on, we must be astute as well. Jesus, did you get an offer? [laughs]

“No, but blaming the club for everything is always simple. Similarly, it’s possible that the player decided to go in a certain direction during the off-season or preseason.

“I am fair to the player if it didn’t happen after that. I’ll offer them this place to play and perform.

“It’s the business, but maybe the player decides to stay after. That’s not saying, “Well, the player wanted to move,” or “Oh, the club accepted the offer.”

“The players that are here if they deserve will have the opportunities to play but they need to be better than the others in their position.”

Preston North End will visit Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon as Chelsea returns to action in the FA Cup third round.
