Cesc Fabrigas has been named Como’s temporary manger.
This year marked the legend of Chelsea and Arsenal’s career ending with the Italian second division team.

And ever since he joined former teammate Thierry Henry as a part-owner, he has been coaching their Under-19 team.
With the team in sixth place, Como was without a manager following the dismissal of Moreno Longo.
The team declared that Fabregas will take over, albeit temporarily at first.
The club released the following statement: “Moreno Longo and Como 1907 have split up. Cesc Fàbregas and the present coaching staff will take over as temporary head coach while the hunt for a new coach gets underway right away.”
They also mentioned that today will be his first training session.
This will be the Spaniard’s first experience managing senior football players.
At the end of the previous season, Fabregas announced his resignation from Como after making 17 appearances.
“It is with great sadness that I have to hang up my playing boots,” he stated at the time.
“I’ll never forget the journey I took to win nearly all of the European trophies, the World Cup, the Euros, and everything else in England and Spain.”
“After two decades of amazing sacrifice, devotion, and happiness, it’s time to bid the beautiful game farewell and say thank you.”
The 36-year-old Fabregas announced he was hanging up his boots to concentrate on a long-term project with Como.
He declared: “I’m really enthused about a project and a club.
“I met this adorable football squad at the ideal point in my career, and they captured my heart from the first play. I’ll take hold of it with both hands.
It’s time to say thank you and farewell to the beautiful game after 20 amazing years filled with sacrifice, commitment, and joy. I cherished every second.”
