Bechem Fire Station of the Ghana National Fire Service in the Tano South Municipality of the Ahafo Region has exhorted Ghanaians to call their local numbers for emergency assistance in fire outbreak.

Speaking in an interview with High Radio’s morning Show Host Kwaku Mensah Abrampa, The Assistant Fire Officer of Bechem Fire Station, ADO 1 Clifford Ashie Teiko indicated that the national Fire Service 192 and 112 numbers which are always being called by fire victims are as a result of the delay in their arrival to fire scenes because it has to go through a lot of processes and channels before it gets to the local Fire stations.

 

He reiterated that the lengthy channel of communication sometimes delay the fire fighters hence it is very necessary to keep contacts of Local fire station to help you gain access to them during emergency fire Outbreak.

 

He revealed that the Ghana National Fire Service does not only fight fires but also attend to accident scenes to ensure successive removal of persons and bodies trapped in the accident vehicles before they are handed over to the ambulance service for further treatment.
