BKB’s Report Update on Agona Abodom Chieftancy clash…
14 people have been arrested by police while four people have been discharged from hospital following Agona Abodom Chieftancy dispute which occured on Saturday 2nd August,2025.
BKB reported on 2nd August that four people have died while 10 in critical condition following a clash between some alledged landguards and youth of Agona Abodom during their festival celebration.
Report says, some suspected landguards invaded the chief palace in Agona Abodom follow Chieftancy brouhaha in the community.
Agona Abodom in the Agona West has battled with Chieftancy issues for over 45yrs now which recently lead to the installment of Nana Osamdade Obrempong Xi as new chief but other faction are not certain with his installment hence creating serious tension in the community.
The police has arrested the 14 suspected landguards while investigations are still ongoing.
The residents and Nananom in Agona Abodom are calling for intense security since they leave in fear and panic.
