Desmond Ofei, the head coach of Ghana’s U20 national team, the Black Satellites, expressed satisfaction following his team’s goalless draw against Congo in their opening Group A match at the 13th African Games men’s football tournament.

In a post-game interview, Coach Desmond Ofei admitted that while his team is content with the result, they missed several scoring opportunities that could have secured a win.

“In the first half, we lacked control and resorted to long balls too early due to anxiety. However, we regrouped in the second half and dominated the game. Despite creating numerous scoring opportunities, we lacked the clinical finishing touch,” Ofei added.

Looking ahead to their next fixture against Gambia on March 12, Ofei emphasized the need for his team to capitalize on their chances and secure a positive result.

“In the second half, we were dominant. I think we created more chances than the opponent and we should have been clinical with the chances we created. We had a bit of tough luck today,” Coach Desmond Ofei said.
