Berekum Chelsea bounced back from their previous defeat to Gold Stars with a convincing win over Karela United at the Golden City Park on Sunday, March 3, 2024.
Mizack Afriyie’s two goals and a stoppage-time strike by Kusi Pandrous propelled The Bibires to a 5th position on the league standings, accumulating 30 points. Despite a goalless first half, Afriyie broke the deadlock shortly after the break, scoring in the 49th minute, and later securing his brace by tapping in a cross on the 67th minute. Pandrous sealed the victory for Berekum Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Karela United’s hopes for consecutive victories were dashed as they failed to capitalize, dropping to 15th position on the league log. Their struggles away from home persist.
