ANGE POSTECOGLOU responded to a question about whether Tottenham will alter their strategy following their loss to Chelsea with a sharp five-word response.
In the London derby, Spurs were down to nine men, but they managed to hold out until 75 minutes, when Nicolas Jackson made the score 2-1.
After securing two more goals in extra time, the striker completed a hat-trick to help the squad win 4-1.
Jackson forced the Spurs to pay after exposing their high line on both occasions.
Notwithstanding the number of players they have benched, Postecoglou claimed that their dangerous defensive strategies will not change.
He remarked, “Mate, that’s just who we are.” That is simply our nature. For the duration of my presence, this is who we will remain.
“We go down to five men, mate, we’ll have a crack.”
After just six minutes of play, Dejan Kulusevski gave Postecoglou’s team the lead.
However, Cole Palmer later equalized from the penalty spot when Cristian Romero was dismissed for challenging Enzo Fernandez in the box with his studs up.
Ten minutes after the intermission, Destiny Udogie was booked twice, bringing the hosts down to nine.
Jackson was named player of the match after his hat-trick in the second half sealed the victory.
Postecoglou stated: “I am really proud of the guys, but there was a lot going on, a lot of VAR intervention, and a difficult game for me to analyze. They kept attempting to make something for us until the very end.
“The players couldn’t give any more than they did, part of this game is will, effort and determination and they showed that.”
