Director-General for the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Sammi Awuku, has asked the people of Ghana to watch out for Asamoah Gyan.
He says the former Black Stars player is a man of ideas and will do more to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
“In sports, how can we get the private sector also to show interest in developing sports? Watch out for Asamoah Gyan; he is a man of ideas. You will hear from him. He is one guy who has solid ideas in the area of sports.
He is an iconic figure. Whether you love him or loathe him, he is an iconic figure. He is one person who should show more interest in policy and politics. You may never know. Now that he is on retirement, he should show interest in helping in the development of sports,” he said.
Asamoah Gyan has since been appointed as the Sub Committee Chairman on Youth and Sports on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) manifesto committee.
