It should be a wake up call for every Ghanaian and especially the religious body, clergy, Imam and traditional leaders to condemned the challenge of monepocracy in Ghana politics now.
Speaking in an interview with the Head Pastor of Assembles Of God Sepease branch in the Ashanti Region, Rev Lawrence Inkoom, has appealed to peace Council and Religious bodies stand up and condemned vote buying in our political depensation now.
The political parties must put an end to such practice seeks of it won’t help our democracy and our political depensation.
Furthermore this means one day a criminal can uses money stoled from innocent people and uses it to buy his/her way into either parliament or presidency which will be very dangerous precedent if care is not taken.
He said Ghana is in a crossed road to lost its moral rights and values of politics if politicians continue this way.
According to him, because the political parties have no policies and programmes to mitigate these people from poverty what they does is to influence them with money and buy their conscience which is modern slavery.
Rev Inkoom is worried about the way and manner leadership of this country has kept quite over happenings in Ghana and rather making comparism with previous government.
“Let’s look at what is happening in our education and our teaching standards now is like we’re rather producing illiterate rather than literate for future generation’s what a country are we building” he fumes.
He observed that what is going on the Christian Council has turn blind and cannot see it because if they speak the NPP Party loyalties will come after them.
The man of God said if a king decides to sit down to watch things goes wrong if things get out of hands the blame will be on his head.
He urged Ghanaians to wake up from the modern slavery and stop selling their conscience for politicians forgotten that is their future and generations unborn they’re destroying.
