Deputy General Secretary for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mustapha Gbandi, has blamed Koku Anyidoho and the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for the fracas that happened at Asomdwe Park on July 24, 2024.

The NDC and other sympathizers were at Asomdwe Park on July 24, 2024, to celebrate 12 years after the passing of John Evans Atta Mills.

However, a group of people who claimed to be the family of the late President were also at the venue and made several utterances, including their decision not to vote for the NDC in the 2024 elections.

Their reason was that they were disrespected on the day by members of the opposition NDC.

Speaking on the issues in an interview with Accra-based OKAY FM, Mustapha Gbandi alleged that the fracas were masterminded by the party’s former Deputy General Secretary with the support of the President of Ghana.

“There are no problems. What has happened is that President Akufo-Addo has contracted Koku Anyidoho to always cause commotion at events concerning the former President to paint the NDC in a bad light. You don’t even blame the NPP. I blame President Akufo-Addo.

President Akufo-Addo invited Koku Anyidoho to the Jubilee House. Someone who has no relations with President Mills so who do you blame when there are issues? We will blame President Akufo-Addo because he’s the one behind all that Koku Anyidoho is doing about President Mills,” he said.
