Majeed Ashimeru, the Black Stars midfielder, has received clearance to participate in Ghana’s upcoming final group match against Mozambique on Monday.

The Anderlecht standout sustained an injury during Ghana’s game against Egypt, prompting an early substitution in the second half. Following the match, Coach Chris Hughton confirmed the substitution was due to a knock.

In an update from the FA camp, it has been revealed that Ashimeru, the former WAFA player, is set to make his third consecutive appearance after a thorough assessment by the medical team. The FA stated, “He underwent a comprehensive evaluation by the medical team, including additional checks on Friday.

The medical team is optimistic about the progress made and will continue to monitor him on Saturday afternoon before training.”

The statement continued, “The Anderlecht player is poised to feature in his third consecutive game for Ghana, having started in the initial two matches against Cape Verde and Egypt.” Throughout the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, Ashimeru has consistently stood out as one of Ghana’s top-performing players.
