An accident has occurred on the Achimota-Ofankor Highway, after the timber market and before the Ofankor Overhead Bridge, involving two cars. The smaller vehicle carrying passengers has been badly damaged, and the occupants are currently being assisted to the hospital.
An eyewitness at the scene reported that the authorities have been alerted to assist in clearing the area and help with the free flow of traffic. It is not yet clear what caused the accident, but drivers are advised to exercise caution when driving on this stretch of the highway.
