The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has asked the Lands and Natural Resources Minister and Minister of State at the Energy Ministry to oversee the running of the Energy Ministry.
This comes after Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, who was the substantive minister, resigned from his position to join Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to run for the presidency of Ghana.
His resignation, according to a letter from the Jubilee House, takes effect on July 18, 2024.
The two will see to the effective running of the ministry and have been asked to ensure they liaise with the former Energy Minister to ensure a smooth transition.
