We are keen to inculcate digital and technological education for our students to enhance their future – Mindfield School Director
The Proprietor of Mindfield School of Excellence in the Dormaa Central Municipality of the Bono Region, Mr. Ernest Oppong has revealed the plans of the school board and Management to intensify Digital and technological education among their students to broaden their knowledge in Information technology (IT) to conform to the digital world.
Speaking to Newsmen during the school’s graduation ceremony and commissioning of their ICT laboratory furnished with computers, Mr. Ernest Oppong expressed that the world is controlled by technology and digitalization hence the establishment of the modern computer laboratory for the school to facilitate effective teaching and learning of ICT.
He stressed that the establishment of the school aims to nurture students to attain better and unique qualities among their peers for greater life achievement.
Mr. Ernest Oppong admonished Parents to exercise restraint with the school authorities and support their wards with educational needs because management and teachers are keen to offer the best training and knowledge to the students emphasizing that there shall soon be boarding facilities to accommodate pupils in and outside Dormaa Ahenkro to make significant strides in the lives of the students.
On his part, Baffour Kwadwo Engineer Damoah Afari, Sanaahene of Dormaa Traditional Council added that the name of the school places higher responsibilities on the authorities, teachers and the student bodies hence the need for hard work and dedication to help them live up to expectations.
He implored parents and guardians to massively invest and sacrifice for their wards to help identify and develop their potential for a better future.
Finally, Mr. Lawrence D. Alomene commended the efforts of the teachers, administrators and the supporting staff of the school for their role in nurturing the talents and potential of the students adding that the government and the municipal Assembly expect to see the provisions of adequate classrooms blocks and other teaching and learning materials to help achieve the successes of the school.
