Ghana since the inception of the 1992 republican constitution has had a series of elections with several political parties’ participation.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are predominantly the two parties that have succeeded in the various elections held in the country with a 4year governance mandate for a party subject to continuation of governance per the election outcome. The country has seen 8years governance duration for every party that wins the elections with the current NPP government in its 7th year pending another general election for the selection of new political parties and leaders to rule the country.

The current NPP government having spent its 7th year out of the eight years governance cycle since 1992 has showcased its readiness to break the eight years voodoo with the Breaking the 8 agenda being preached day in and out.

Mr. Charles Akwasi Asiedu, Tano South NDC parliamentary candidate in the Ahafo region has treated all NDC members to be vigilant and hardworking before, during, and after the 2024 general election to help them win the parliamentary and presidential elections for NDC.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kwaku Mensah Abrampa on the High Radio Breakfast show dubbed High Morning Breeze, he noted that NDC’s 2024 election victory is not automatically assured as people think and so it will take hard work, dedication, and vigilance before the party can triumph over the ruling New patriotic party.
