12TH ANNIVERSARY AND SPEECH AND PRIZE GIVING DAY AT BRAKWA SENIOR HIGH TECHNICAL SCHOOL

Brakwa Senior High Technical School celebrated its 12th Anniversary and Speech and Prize Giving Day on Friday, May 26, 2023. The school was established in 2011 in Breman Brakwa, which is located in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency. It started as a community day school.

In 2014, after the completion of the first batch, hostel facilities were allocated around the school to accommodate students who came from distant areas.

 

Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah, the Member of Parliament for Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency, was invited to join the celebration of the school’s 12th anniversary and speech and prize giving day. During the ceremony, the Hon. MP presented a refrigerator to Mr. Dawud Dadzie, the Assistant Headmaster Administrator of the School, who was recognized as the best teacher.

 

In his speech, Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah promised to institute awards for the Best Behaved students and Best Students of the year, both for males and females. He initiated this promise by requesting the school administration to provide him with two Best Behaved students for an award. He awarded those two students with an amount of Ghc500.00 each, along with the best Student of the year.

Furthermore, the Hon. MP pledged an amount of Ghc2,000.00 to support the school’s 12th anniversary. He had already made significant contributions to the school’s development, including

1. Facilitating the acquisition of a school bus,

2. Providing 50 bags of cement for the screeding of the Assembly Hall,

3. Contributing 100 bags of cement for the construction of the Headmistress Bungalow,

4. Donating 10 pieces of LED street bulbs, and

5. Giving Ghc3,000.00 to support the construction of the Headmistress Bungalow.

 

Additionally, he oversaw the reshaping of the school road, starting from the school junction to the school premises.

 

During his speech, the Member of Parliament advised the students to take their academic classes seriously, exhibit good behavior, and show respect to both teachers and fellow students. He also emphasized the importance of teachers focusing on their teaching skills.
