Final-Year Student’s Misconduct Leads to Wrongful Accusation of Teacher at Oda Senior High School

A final-year student at Oda Senior High School (SHS), whose name has been withheld, was found to have sneaked off campus to engage in inappropriate activities with multiple men at two separate hotels. Known popularly as “Shegee,” the student left the school on Tuesday and initially stayed at the Home Sweet Home hotel in Akim Oda, Eastern Region.

After two days, she moved to another hotel, where she reportedly lodged with two men who took turns sleeping with her, according to police investigations.

“The police said, upon their investigation, she lodged at the hotel with two dreadlocked guys. The receptionist indicated that the noises she made suggested that the two men were with her simultaneously.

When she left the hotel, the cleaners reported that she had soiled the bedsheet with blood and left the room in a disheveled state,” said a source close to the school.

When questioned by senior housemistress Emelia Biamah, who has a familial relationship with her, the student falsely claimed she went out with a young male teacher.

This led to the housemistress informing the headmaster, and without any consultation, the teacher was arrested. The young male teacher, however, denied any involvement in the student’s actions.

Police investigations later revealed that the student lied about being taken out by the teacher and had used a hidden route to leave the campus. She lodged in two different hotels with various men.

Despite the police exonerating the young male teacher, the headmaster and senior housemistress have not apologized for their hasty actions that led to his wrongful arrest.

Efforts by the school staff to prompt a public apology from the student, senior housemistress, and headmaster have been unsuccessful. “Efforts have been made to get the authorities involved to apologize to the teacher who was framed, but they feel too big to do that.

The teacher almost committed suicide due to the disgrace. Knowing that you did not do something and you’re accused of it is very bad,” said a source close to the school.
